It's not illegal rally, it's carnival of democracy.
Enough. After Bers✔h 2.0 or 709, we were known to raise awareness on how dirty is the politic in our country. Honestly, Auntie Anne's left the most impression about 709 Bers✔h 2.0. Until now, I totally salute what she'd done on 709 rally. She is always one of the good examples for our young generation to take out our courage and fight for liberty and the cleanliness of election. And now she has been known as Auntie Bersih, the lady of liberty. Automatically, this was one of the reasons why we were so excited to anticipate for another rally, it was Bers✔h 3.0. We planned to go to capital earlier but it was not successful. Possibly, we are not totally free from parents' control, still under 21. Even though we were not able to go to Kuala Lumpur to join Bers✔h 3.0, we could participated this rally in Penang too.
We planned not to get there by car because there might traffic jams near to the Speakers Square. The rally started at 2pm in the afternoon. 11.30am in the afternoon, we wore in either yellow or green, went to bus stop to wait for bus to get to jetty. After reaching Butterworth Bus Terminal, we could feel the YELLOW. Haha, especially when we got onto ferry, almost half of the passengers were wore in yellow and ready to get to Padang Kota Lama.
This is what I meant.
Ok, this was my first to participate Bers✔h rally, sense of nervousness was inevitable. I took and seat comfortably then. KEEP CALM and BERS✔H IS ON! When I turned back and I saw them, I could not help thinking of what would happen next. I was so excited. Turned my sight back and I kept thinking of what would the situation there, would us be under arrested as the consequence of participating in such rally even though I'd known what I thought wouldn't happen there. Haha, I feel ridiculous now as I recall back.

Upon we reached the Penang Jetty, we could see people they wore in yellow, heading to Padang Kota Lama in their own group, some of them shouted their slogans. "Bersih, Bersih", "Hidup Rakyat", "Henti Lynas", "Bantah Rasuah", those slogans were what we normally heard along the way we headed to Speakers Square. Some of the drivers horned to show their support also. Of course some of them were believed as BN supporters they shouted "Bodoh Bersih" at us. We didn't care of what they'd done. Luckily the sun shone not so persistent, we sweated profusely also. After almost 10 minutes, we finally arrived ! We reached there almost 30 minutes before rally started, but we could see the Speakers Square had been clouded with yellow.
Often, we could hear different slogans and applauses coming from different directions.
Five of us. Melon Khaw was the only girl among us. Her attendance astonished me actually.
The rally started exactly 2 in the afternoon after the arrival of Penang Chief Minister, YAB Lim Guan Eng. Those leader gave their speech one by one. I could say, their speech were almost the same. Appealed the people to make a true and wise vote in election, anti-Lynas, talked on the dirtinesses of SPR and praised the people of Penang. CM Lim was the last to give his talked. All the people there stayed in silence to show their respect and paid attention on his speech. Only when he praised the courage of women who took part in this rally was the only difference his speech from the other leaders', I thought. He leaded the people to shout the slogans loudly and I believed every Malaysian could hear our voice. The rally ended at 3pm after CM's speech.

Actually, this rally in Penang was totally different from what we'd imagine. It was not dangerous as what we'd thought. It was a peaceful rally. Protestants only urged government and SPR to make a change towards a clean and fair election. And of course stop lynas also. They were not making any rebellions here. Fortunately the rally ended in peace. I felt proud to be part of them. In short, we are just showing our desire to make a change and government should be democratic enough to hear and accept our demands and more importantly is to make a change sincerely but not trying to apply force violently on the people to prevent this rally. We are just the Malaysians who are desire to make a CHANGE!
The power of people is greater than the people in power. Yesterday I was one on the witnesses.
